This course is jointly conducted by Civil Engineering, ElectricalÌýEngineering and Mechanical Engineering Departments of theÌýUniversity ofÌýMoratuwa. This course aims to provide a broadÌýbased advanced knowledge in technological areas relatedÌýto building services with focus on the development of certainÌýskills in design and operation and also to enable to embark onÌýresearch.
The lectures are carried out by expert members of academicÌýstaff and the industry. Our aim is to educate industriallyÌýorientated professionals withÌýfiÌýrmÌýtheoretical understandingÌýand profound expertise in theÌýfiÌýeldÌýof building servicesÌýengineering.ÌýThis course is accredited by the Chartered Institution ofÌýBuilding Services Engineers (CIBSE), UK.

PG diploma work will encompass around 700 hours ofÌýlectures, assignments, term papers, seminars,ÌýfieldÌývisits and aÌýspecial study project on building services. The performance ofÌýthe students will be evaluated through continuous assessmentÌýand written examinations.

Entry Requirements:
An honours degree of the bachelor of science of engineering orÌýany other engineering degree at least four years of durationÌýwith civil, electrical or mechanical specialty from aÌýrecognisedÌýuniversity and a minimum of one year of relevant experience inÌýtheÌýfieldÌýof building services engineering;
OR
Any other engineering degree of at least three years ofÌýduration with civil, electrical or mechanical specialty from aÌýrecognisedÌýuniversity with a minimum of two years of relevant
experience in the field of building services engineering;
OR
Any other degree in a relevant field accepted by the FacultyÌýand approved by the Senate with a minimum of three years ofÌýrelevant experience in theÌýfieldÌýof building services engineering;
OR
The corporate membership, graduateship (as appropriate) orÌýequivalent of aÌýrecognisedÌýprofessional institute in a relevantÌýfieldÌýacceptable to the Faculty and approved by the Senate,
and at least three years of relevant experience after havingÌýobtained the membership. The relevant experience in theÌýfieldÌýshall be determined by the Faculty and approved by the
Senate for all cases.
