• Information Systems Security

A comprehensive research project is an integral part of theÌýmaster’s degree. However, after completing the coursework,Ìýstudents may opt for a postgraduate diploma with a shorterÌýproject.

Application Process:

Prospective local and foreign applicants are invited to apply forÌýthe course in June of each year through public advertisements.ÌýAllÌýqualifiÌýedapplicants will beÌýnotifiÌýedÌýof their eligibility andÌýwill be invited for a selection test and a subsequent interviewÌýconducted by the Department of Computer Science andÌýEngineering.ÌýThe postgraduate degreeÌýprogrammesÌýof the ComputerÌýScience and Engineering Department commence in January ofÌýeach year.

Eligibility Requirements:

• The Degree of Bachelor of Science of Engineering ofÌýthe University ofÌýMoratuwaÌýin a relevantÌýfiÌýeld, as may beÌýapproved by the Senate;

OR

• Any other four-year degree in engineering, science orÌýtechnology from aÌýrecognisedÌýUniversity, in a relevantÌýfieldÌýofÌýspecialisation, as may be approved by the Senate;

OR

• Any other three-year degree in engineering, science orÌýtechnology from aÌýrecognisedÌýUniversity, in a relevantÌýfieldÌýofÌýspecialisation, and a minimum period of experience of oneÌýyear as may be approved by the Senate;

OR

• AnyÌýrecognisedÌýcategory of membership of aÌýrecognisedÌýprofessional institute obtained through an academic routeÌýwith a minimum period of experience of one year as may beÌýapproved by the Senate.

MSc: Two years (part-time)

PG Dip: One year (part-time)
