Course Description:
TheÌýMScÌýprogrammeÌýgives individuals and industriesÌýthe opportunity to develop their expertise in polymers;Ìýrubbers, plastics, composites and blends. TheÌýprogrammeÌýisÌýconducted part-time, enabling you to continue your careerÌýwhile gaining further knowledge andÌýqualifications.

Teaching is carried out by our well-experienced academic staffÌýtogether with academics from other universities and institutions.ÌýVisiting lecturers from the industry are from time to time invitedÌýto give talks on industrial processors and product development.ÌýAll lectures, practical sessions, presentations, industrial visits andÌýexaminations will be conducted on Saturdays and Sundays.

ThisÌýprogrammeÌýconsists of a combination of compulsoryÌýmodules and optional modules and a research project. TheÌýproject is only available for students registered forÌýMSc. Entry Requirements:
The Degree of Bachelor of Science of Engineering of theÌýUniversity ofÌýMoratuwa, inÌýfieldsÌýof Chemical and ProcessÌýEngineering, Materials Science and Engineering, MechanicalÌýEngineering and Textile and Clothing Technology;
OR
Any four year degree in engineering, science or technology inÌýa relevantÌýfieldÌýfrom aÌýrecognisedÌýuniversity, approved by theÌýSenate;
OR
Any four year degree in engineering in any otherÌýfieldÌýand aÌýminimum of one year appropriate experience;
OR
Any three year degree in engineering, science or technologyÌýin a relevantÌýfieldÌýfrom aÌýrecognisedÌýuniversity with a minimumÌýperiod of one year of appropriate experience, approved byÌýthe Senate;
OR
AnyÌýrecognisedÌýcategory of membership of aÌýrecognisedÌýprofessional institution, obtained through an academic route,Ìýand a minimum of one year of appropriate experience afterÌýobtaining such membership, approved by the Senate.
