The 9-year long product and process development research partnership between the ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ, the Uni-Consultancy Services (UNIC) of the ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ, and the DSI group of companies was renewed on the 27th July 2020. Through this renewal, D. Samson Industries (Pvt.) Ltd. also joined the industrial collaboration.

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) Sri Lanka Group has organized a competition to explore the IMechE Young M e m b e r s ’ design skills to fight COVID-19 pandemic. The objective has been to assess the design strengths of the young members to battle the global crisis. The final evaluation was held online on 29th May 2020.
