Her Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Sri Lanka Dr. (Mrs.)��Indira��Lopez��Arguelles, together with secretary of the embassy Mr.Wilfred��Jayasinghe��visited the University of��Moratuwa��on May 5, 2014.

The University of��Moratuwa��(UOM) held its��34th��convocation on July 31,��2013at��the��Bandaranaike��Memorial International��Conference Hall (BMICH)��and conferred 1096 Bachelor��Degrees, 356 Postgraduate��Diplomas, degrees and other��awards including four��PhDs��and five��MPhils.

The Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Directors (CVCD) introduced in 2006 a scheme of awards called��“CVCD��Excellence Awards” to be awarded once in two years to recognize, appreciate and honor the outstanding contributions and accomplishments in research, innovation and invention by the staff in the University system.
