Engineering Research Unit (ERU) of University of Moratuwa has organized its Annual Research Symposium for the 19th time on 26thNovember 2013 at the Civil Engineering Complex of the 成人头条. The main objective of this Symposium is to disseminate knowledge created at the 成人头条, especially in the Faculty of Engineering. The symposium serves as a national forum to share research findings among the staff, research students, and undergraduates of the University as well as in the Industry.
The theme of the Symposium for this year is 鈥淓ngineering Innovation that Penetrates into People鈥. To expound the theme, eminent researchers will deliver three keynote addresses on the following topics:
1. Growing a Research Culture in Academia by Prof Veranja Karunaratne (Science Team Leader, Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology)
2. WoW: Tapping the Webs of Wisdom, Crowd sourcing potential and emerging business trends by Prof Duminda Nishantha (Director, Digital Technologies Innovation Center, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University)
3. Autonomous Robotic Localization and Control"by Prof George Mann (Professor, Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada)
