The Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Directors (CVCD) awarded former Vice-Chancellor Professor Malik Ranasinghe the Most Outstanding Senior Researcher Award at its CVCD Excellence Awards Ceremony held on November 30th 2012 at the Auditorium of the Sir John Kotalawela Defence University(KDU).
TheÌýCVCDÌýExcellence Awards is held every two years and this is the fourth consecutive occasionÌýorganisedÌýsince 2006, toÌýhonourÌýandÌýrecogniseÌýoutstanding academics working in important areas of research, innovations and inventions in the university system of Sri Lanka.
