Press Release - Awards Ceremony of the ��ͷ�� 2014

The Annual Awards Ceremony 2014 organized by the University of��Moratuwa��was held on December 30, 2014 at the Auditorium of the Civil Engineering Building Complex under the patronage of the Chancellor of the University,��Vidya��Jyothi��Professor Emeritus��KKYW��Perera��and Vice-Chancellor, Professor��Ananda��Jayawardane.

Among the Awardees were 28 academic staff members who were felicitated for their Outstanding Research Performance. In addition two distinguished senior academics who retired from the university service were conferred with the title of Emeritus Professor.

Seventy Students who have excelled in studies during the past two years were presented with 81 awards for their outstanding performance in the fields of Architecture and Engineering.

In addition, for the first time, 27 Staff and 45 Students were recognized for the International and National Awards that they had received during the years 2013 and 2014.

In overall terms, over 150 outstanding performers of the distinguished members of both academic staff and students of the University of��Moratuwa��received their awards from the Chancellor and the Vice-Chancellor at the Awards Ceremony 2014.
