In 1993 the undergraduates of theÌý5thÌýbatch of the department of building economics organized the first everÌýSarasaviÌýGeeÌýSisilaÌýevent which was colored by the presence of great musicians like Dr.DayarathneÌýRanathunge, Mrs.ÌýAmaraÌýRanathungeÌýand Maestro VictorÌýRathnayake. 22 Years later this event has become one of the largest events of the University ofÌýMoratuwaÌýand is recognized as the epitome of classical music by the University community.
This yearÌýSarasaviÌýGeeÌýSisilaÌýwill remark itsÌý20thÌýstage performance and celebrate a legacy which spreads over 2 decades. The 2015 event will be colored by the presence of several great musicians of this era. ProfessorÌýSanathÌýNandasiri, Maestro VictorÌýRathnayake,ÌýVisharadhEdwardÌýJayakody,ÌýVisharadhÌýSunilÌýEdirisinghe, Mr,ÌýKarunarathneÌýDivulgane, Mr. T.M.Jayarathne andÌýVisharadh.ÌýDeepikaÌýPriyadarhsaniÌýwill perform on theÌýSarasaviÌýGeeÌýSisilaÌý2015 which will be staged onÌý25thÌýMarch from 6.30pm onwards.
