The E-Club of University of听Moratuwa听proudly presents the Sri Lankan Robotics Challenge for the听2ndconsecutive听time. Last time we initiated this national level robot competition, which had been lacking in Sri Lanka for years. This competition has become a main event in the technology calendar of Sri Lanka and has 听gained the interest from island wide to international community. 听

Sri Lankan Robotics Challenge 2013 will be focusing on three major events:听Flying Dutchman,听Black Pearl听and听Endeavour.听

The university category competes under the name 鈥Flying Dutchman鈥, the school category competes under the name 鈥Black Pearl鈥 and the open category competes under the name 鈥櫶Endeavour鈥. 听 The winners of the university category will be selected to represent Sri Lanka at听Techfest听2014.听

University of听Moratuwa, being the country's leading technological higher education institute, have been monumental in introducing cutting-edge technology to the local communities. Alongside with the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering (ENTC), it has been a key partner in organizing the Sri Lankan leg of the robot competition for听Techfest听which was previously named as听鈥渋Nexus鈥.

For the past few years, the University participated at a number of international robot competitions including听Robocon,听iNexus听etc. In fact, during听2009/10,听2010/11,听2011/12听and听2012/13听Moratuwa听teams emerged victorious at听iNexus,听Techfest.

From this year onward the university and听ENTC, decide to open gates for all the robotic enthusiast in every corner of the island to participate at an arena with extreme passion and competition. This would be a one-of-a-kind experience for those budding听techies听on Sri Lanka.
