New research facility of Centre for Cities was declared open on 27th September 2022.
A group of engineers and officials from 鈥楤lueScope Lysaght Lanka鈥 made a product presentation on their roofing, walling and structural steel solutions, targeting details on structural connections, material properties, environmental protection, water-proofing, thermal insulation and formal design. The session was attended by students and staff of the department of architecture.
Archt. Ainsley Lewis, Head of Department, Six other staff members and 85 students from Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for architecture in Juhu, Mumbai, India visited the Department.

and practitioners from Australia, Italy and the United States.
A joint Design Studio was held at the 成人头条 on 鈥淐ity Design鈥 from 28th Aug to 3rd Sept.
Archt. Valentine Gunasekara visited the department and delivered a guest lecture. It was well attended by the senior architects, past and present students of the department. He also inspected the works of 1st year B. Arch students done under the 鈥渟tructures鈥 project.听
Valentine Gunasekera is a prominent Sri Lanakan architect who was active in the architectural field in Sri Lanka during 70s and 80s. Now he resides in the USA. 鈥業magining Modernity鈥 by Anoma Peiris documents his life and work.
