Publication on torrified biomass combustion at the National Energy Symposium 2019

A conference publication titled ‘Technical and Environmental Feasibility of Co-firing Torrefied Biomass in a Coal-fired Power Plant’, authored by Mses. Udya Devaraja,Ìý Sachini Supunsala, and Dr. Duleeka Gunarathne of the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering of ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ was presented at the Moratuwa Engineering Research Conference (MERCon 2020) on the 28th July 2020. This study was focused on the evaluation of co-firing possibilities of both raw and torrefied rubber wood chips with the aid of Aspen Plus process simulation software and experimental studies conducted by torrefieing rubber wood chips at a temperature of 300 ℃Ìýfor 60 minutes.
