Prof. Buddhika Jayasekra received the SUSRED Award 2019 from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for supervising the PhD degree of Dr. Viraj Muthugala within normal duration of 4 years. Award ceremony was held along with the World Science Day programme on 16^th November 2021 at the BMICH.

The doctoral thesis titled “Enhancing Interpretation of Uncertain Information in Navigational Commands for Service Robots Using Neuro-Fuzzy Approach”, focused on interpreting uncertain human language and gestures. This was implemented on Moratuwa Intelligent Robot (MIRob) platform.�� This is the first PhD degree of the intelligent service robotics group, Department of Electrical Engineering, ����ͷ��. ��
