The Library, ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Thushari Seneviratne as its first Deputy Librarian. Ms. Seneviratne joined the ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ as an Assistant Librarian in 2000 and has since demonstrated a remarkable academic and professional journey, serving the Library for over 25 years with dedication and distinction. During her tenure, she has played a pioneering role in advancing library services, having founded and led several key initiatives including the User Education Unit, the Outreach Services Division, and the Research Support Services Division.
She holds a B.Sc. (Special) Degree in Zoology from the University of Kelaniya (1998), a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Colombo (2001–2003), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Management from the Department of Civil Engineering at the ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ (2000).
Her current research interests focus on environmental informatics.Â
