Mrs. Sarojini Kumarasighe narrated the story 鈥淭hree Little Pigs鈥 to kids on 1st November, 2013. Mrs. Sarojini Kumarasinghe while accompanying the video 鈥淭hree Little Pigs鈥 by Walt Disney in Silly Symphony series made a fun-filled session. Technical assistance was provided by Mr. Melro Mendis, Mr. Roshan Fernando and Mr. Chamara Herath.
Language learning is aimed to help the kids to recognize, read, and write letters of the Sinhala and English alphabet.
Fourth session of "Books and Animals" on Friday, 4th July talked about fishes and fishing. Mr. Melro Mendis, Mrs. Chandani Kalupahana, Mr. Roshan Fernando and Mr. Manula Jayathilaka provided the technical assistance.

Through storytelling, kids are given an opportunity to experience exciting journeys into the unknown places, people and things. Mr. Nishan Punchihewa was the first to narrate a story to preschool kids. On 11th October, 2013 he narrated the folktale 鈥溹稖喽膏痘喾忇督喽亨窉 喽亨稓喾娻稓喾斷逗喾掆 adopted by Prof. J.B. Dissanayake. 鈥溹动喾溹陡喾娻洞喾權锭 喽亨侗 喽脆窂喽 喽氞窚喽亨窉喽多动喾濃 is a famous folk-drama in Sri Lanka. To entertain as well as to educate the kids on folk-lore, Library staff performed 鈥溹动喾溹陡喾娻洞喾權锭 喽亨侗 喽脆窂喽 喽氞窚喽亨窉喽多动喾濃 on Friday, 25th October 2013 in Sumudu Preschool. 听Mrs. Indrani Jayalath directed the folk drama while Mr. T.A. Sunil, Mrs. Devika Talawatta, Mrs. Indrani Jayalath, Miss D.G.R. Tharanga and Mr. Eranga Wickrama were cast in the play. Music 听by 听Mr. Anura Kiriella 听and Mrs. Sarojini Kumarasinghe. 鈥溹洞喾溹订喾 喽氞窂喽洁窔 喽稛 喽氞窓喽秽窋喾喾忇陡鈥 is a good old song loved by children for decades. Mrs. Upeksha Kodithuwakku and Mrs. Ganga Godakanda joined with preschool kids to sing and act 鈥溹洞喾溹订喾 喽氞窂喽洁窔 喽稛 喽氞窓喽秽窋喾喾忇陡鈥 on Friday, 8th November, 2013. This song was originally sung by Ms. Shiromi Fernando. Mr. Melro Mendis and Mr. Chamara Herath provided the technical assistance.
A colour has different shades. Flowers have different shades too. The session on March 7, 2014 was dedicated to colours and flowers. Mrs. Devika Thalawatta explained about the variety in flowers. Mr. Thushara Bandaranayake introduced various shades of colour. Mr. Melro Shamendra, Mrs. Chandani Kalupahana, and Mr. Manjula Jayathilaka 听provided the technical assistance.
On Friday, 28th February, 2014 kids leaned about pets and useful animals. To add up Mrs. Devika Thalawatta and Mr. Anil Yasalal taught the folk song 鈥溹稓喾呧窋喾 喽亨窉 喽氞窉喽秽窉喽 喽亨窉鈥. 听Mr. Melro Mendis and Mr. Roshan Fernando provided the technical assistance.
Colours help to build a creative mind so as the mixing of colors. Mr. Thushara Bandaranayaka introduced primary colours and secondary colours to Upper Nursery kids and demonstrated how to mix colors on Friday, 21st 听February, 2014. 听Lower Nursery kids also did an activity based on colours. Mr. Melro Shamendra, Mr. Roshan Fernando and Mr. Manjula Jayathilaka 听provided the technical assistance.
