Prof. Han Baokun, Vice Dean of College of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering, Prof. Chen Qingguang, Director of Department of Mechanotronics and Prof. Yang Jurru, Director of ÌýDepartment of Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering, Shangdon University of China visited ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ on 25thÌýApril 2017 and discussed matters related to staff and student exchange programs, joint research programs and research center concept on mechatronics.

Craig H. Blakely, PhD, MPH, Dean, School of Public Health and Information Sciences at the University of Louisville (UoFL), United States visited UOM on 16th May 2017. The potential programs of UoFL for discussion were suggested as MSc Clinical Investigative Science, MS Biostatistics, MPH Concentration in Environmental / Community Health, PhD and Joint Research Projects.

Dr. Anura Rathnayake, the avant-garde Sri Lankan scientist who is a quality product of the ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ, was able to win the 3rdÌýplace at the ‘Global Change Award’ organized annually by the H&M foundation with his revolutionary innovation ‘Content Thread’, which facilitates sorting and recycling of clothes using a digital filament.
