With its variability in performance and the multitude of possible raw materials, concrete lends itself to a larger array of applications. The material innovations in concrete we study include, early thermal cracking of concrete, thermal creep of hardened cement paste, lightweight concrete, high strength concrete, self-compacting concrete, alternatives for aggregates in concrete and evaluation of concrete durability.
