Applications for 2026-27 Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships

The Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships (QECS) offer fully-funded Master鈥檚 scholarships to Commonwealth citizens. Successful applicants can travel to a different country in the Commonwealth, where they can study a variety of courses and benefit from the expertise provided by leading universities. Developing new skills, gaining a qualification and experiencing life in another country benefits both the individual and their home country.

Three fully funded Master鈥檚 scholarships are available, hosted by member institutions in Papua New Guinea and South Africa. Further details of the scholarships, including eligibility, host universities and details on how to apply, are available on the听.

Applications close on 3 June 2026 at 15:00 UTC.

IIT Kanpur Launches IITK-RISE 2025鈥26: Research Internships in Science & Engineering for International Students

The Office of International Relations at IITK is delighted to announce the launch of IITK-RISE (Research Internships in Science & Engineering) 2025鈥26, an exciting internship program designed for foreign students to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge research while being mentored by world-class faculty at IIT Kanpur.

About the Program

IITK-RISE is a two-part internship program offering participants a unique opportunity to engage in research across diverse domains of science and engineering:

  • Virtual Winter Internship: A 4-week online module scheduled for December 2025.
  • Summer Internship (On-campus, IIT Kanpur): A 6鈥8 week in-person program to be held in 2026.

This structure allows students to experience both the flexibility of virtual learning and the immersive benefits of on-campus research in India.
