Moratuwa Engineering Research Conference (MERCon) 2024 was held from the 8^th to 10^th of August 2024. MERCon marked the 10^th anniversary this year. The main conference was held at the Civil Engineering Departmental Building Complex. The number of paper presentations was 126 in four parallel sessions covering 23 tracks. Prof. Amin Abbosh, a professor and the director of Centre for Electromagnetic Innovations (ƐMAGIN) at The University of Queensland (UQ), Australia and Prof. Mohan Elara, a Provost’s Chair Professor and Associate Professor with the Engineering Product Development Pillar at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) were the keynote speakers during the main conference. Prof. Michael Pecht, a Chair Professor in Mechanical Engineering and a Professor in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, and Scientific Computation at the University of Maryland delivered the keynote speech at the MERCon 2024 closing and award ceremony. The conference was organized by the Engineering Research Unit and the IEEE Student Branch of ����ͷ�� with Technical Co- sponsorship of IEEE and Financial Sponsorship of ����ͷ�� and the industry.
