The Annual General Meeting of IMechE Student Chapter of ͷ was successfully held on 20th October 2022 in the University premises. The event was honoured with the participation of Mr. Lal Weerasinghe; Chairman of IMechE Sri Lanka Group as the guest of honour, Dr. Himan Punchihewa; Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Ajith Shanmuganathan; Secretary of IMechE Sri Lanka Group, Dr. JR Gamage; Young Members’ Chair of IMechE Sri Lanka Group and Secretary of IMechE Southern Asia Region, Mr. Maneesha Rupasinghe; Senior Project Engineer (Mechanical) in M6 project (Australia) as the keynote speaker delivering an insightful speech on "How to Manage an Engineering Project?", Dr. Lihil Subasinghe; Chapter Councilor of IMechE-UoM Student Chapter, academic staff members of the Department, and the students of 2018, 2019, and 2020 intakes.
