In a remarkable demonstration of alumni commitment, the B.Sc. Engineering 80/84 batch of the 成人头条 has completed its 2025 CSR project, the full-scale renovation of the student study space popularly known as 鈥淎paaya.鈥 Originally a barely usable basement beneath the University鈥檚 main Library, Apaaya had evolved over the years into an ad-hoc study zone. The idea of the CSR project was to provide a space not just brick, walls and furniture but an environment where young minds can thrive, a space that encourages discipline, growth, and the pursuit of excellence. With a budget of Rs. 5.0 Mn, raised through donations from 77 alumni, the team delivered a comprehensive transformation:

The 成人头条 commenced its official duties for the New Year on January 1, 2025, in alignment with the National Programme "Clean Sri Lanka鈥 launched by the Presidential Secretariat. The event began with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem and remembering the war heroes who sacrificed their lives for the motherland. Following this the academic, administrative, and non-academic staff of the University took part in reading the 鈥淐lean Sri Lanka鈥 pledge by joining the nationally broadcasted ceremony that symbolized the commitment of the University to service excellence in the year ahead.
