Mrs. Devika Thalawatte and Mrs Indrani Jayalath were got together to present interesting facts about the proud history of our motherland to the students of Grade 4 and 5 on Tuesday, 4th November, 2014. Not only their presentation, video-clips on ancient Sri Lanka and patriotic songs added a great value to the event. Mr. Roshan Fernando and Mr. Sameera Perera provided the technical assistance.

First outreach activity for the year 2015 was carried on Tuesday, 27th January at Bodhiraja Vidyalaya. It was a great pleasure to witness Mrs. Ruvini Kodikara, our Librarian take part in outreach activities.
Outreach Services Division of the Library 成人头条 wishes to conduct Reading Camp at Bodhiraja Vidyalaya for year 2015 as well. As in 2013 and 2015 Library wishes to facilitate teaching and learning activities using modern technology.
Grade One students will be involved in 鈥淟anguage Learning with Colours鈥 mainly focusing English Alphabet and related words.
"Let's Learn Tamil" is mainly targeted for Grade Two students. Through this activity, Tamil alphabet and related words will be introduced to students.
Topics related to environmental studies will be discussed through 鈥淎nimal World鈥, 鈥淧lant World鈥, 鈥淚nto Nature 鈥︹ etc. for students of Grade 3-5.
Further, Library distributed 鈥淟ibrary Cards鈥 to students of Grade 2-5 to strengthen circulation of primary library materials.
Library hopes to make the Reading Camp a informative experience to all students.
First Session of 鈥淟et鈥檚 learn Tamil鈥 was held on 27th January for Grade two students. To introduce Tamil alphabet to students, Mr. Roshan Fernando, Mrs. Nayomi Sithari and Miss Wasana Herath volunteered. Technical assistance was provided by Mr. Melro Mendis and Mr. Sameera Perera.
Mrs. Thushari Seneviratne shared some interesting facts about animals in other lands with Grade 5 on 27th January, 2015. At the end of the session quiz was held. Technical assistance was provided by Mr. Roshan Fernando and Mr. Sameera Perera.
Outreach Division of the Library organized a Leadership Camp for the newly appointed board of prefects of Bodhiraja Vidyalaya on 25th February, 2015. We were glad to see efforts of the Principal and teaching staff in building leadership qualities of the students. Mr. Anura Kiriella took a leading role in describing the leader, leadership qualities, challenges etc. Mrs. Thushari Seneviratne described the responsibilities and duties a prefect. Leadership camp was filled with various kinds of activities. Mr. Roshan Fernando conducted a game to identify the role of a leader, along with songs and video clips. Mr. Sameera Perera provided the technical assistance.
Library staff started "Language Learning with Colours" on 2nd February, 2016 for Grade one students to teach English language. We were glad to have the contribution of AIESEC volunteers of 成人头条 for this event. Mr. Deeptha Peiris and Mr. Sameera Perera provided the technical assistance.
Library staff volunteered to teach Tamil language for Grade 2 students under the theme "Lets Learn Tamil'. First session was held on 2nd February, 2016. students learnt Tamil vocabulary related to 'family'. Mr. Melro Mendis and Mrs. Shashikala Alles conducted the session. Mr. Deeptha Peiris and Mr. Sammeera Perera provided the technical assistance.
