Mr. Abdulla Ziyad, Minister of State for Ministry of Environment and Energy of the Republic of Maldives visited the ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ on 21st October 2016 and requested Training Programs to train Maldivian students in the areas of Water and Coastal Engineering.

The USA delegates including the Deputy Chief of Mission Mr.Robert Hilton and Director for Press, ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ, and Cultural Affairs Mr. James Russo visited the ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ on 26th October 2016 and discussed about collaboration between US universities and the ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ.

German delegates including Ms. Heike Mok, Director, DAAD New Delhi and Ms. Shikkha Sinha, Senior Advisor, International Corporation of DAAD visited ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ on 29.11.2016. The DAAD (Deutscher  Academischer Austausch Dienst, German ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ Exchange Service)  is the world's largest funding organization for the international exchange of students & researchers which consist of regional offices funding for exchanging programs all over the world.

Australian delegates including Prof. Iain Watt, Pro Vice-Chancellor (International), Prof. (Ms.) Anu Rammohan, Associate Dean - International Relations and Mr. David Norman, Senior Advisor (International) of the University of Western Australia visited ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ, Sri Lanka on 11.02.2016 and discussed the mutually important areas for both parties.

The His Royal Highness Crown Prince of Malaysia who is the Chancellor of University of Malaya Perlis, the Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and some officials including Malaysian High Commissioner visited ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ

The DAAD (Deutscher  Academischer  Austausch Dienst, German ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ Exchange Service)  is the world's largest funding organization for the international exchange of students & researchers which consist of regional offices funding for exchange programs all over the world. Dr. Manjula Mundakana, Senior Adviser for Consulate General for Germany in Bangalore, India and Mr. Jorn Rohde, German Ambassador for Sri Lanka, visited ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ on 08th March 2017 as representatives of DAAD.

Dr. Jawad Syed, the Dean & Professor of Suleman Dawood School of Business ,Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Pakistan visited ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ (UOM) on 10th March 2017 as a part of their international expansion strategy to network with academic institutions and to enroll Sri Lankan students to MBA programs of LUMS under full scholarships funded by Asian Development Bank. LUMS is keen on building partnerships in the areas of research collaborations, faculty collaborations and other forms of partnerships. Prof. Saman Halgamuge, an alumnus of ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ is one of the three Sri Lankans recognised by IEEE as Fellows of the Society from January 2017. The other two Sri Lankans are Prof Nallanathan Arumugam of Kings College London and Prof Janaka Ekanayake of University of Peradeniya.
