The Canadian Government has launched ‘The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarship Program’ to attract 1,500 scholarship recipients to the Universities in Canada over a period of five years and develop academicÌýprogrammes between the governments of Canada and Sri Lanka.Ìý

36thÌýGeneral Convocation of University ofÌýMoratuwaÌýwas held onÌý21stÌýof September 2015 at theÌýBandaranaikeÌýMemorial International Conference Hall (BMICH). Vice Chancellor of University ofÌýMoratuwaÌýmet group of students, who recently won the ÌýHSBC Youth Enterprise Awards (YEA) 2015. YEA is a Business Idea Contest jointly organized by British Council and HSBC. It aims to recognize and support young entrepreneurs in Sri Lanka to start up their own businesses.
