P. Karunadasa, has been selected as the Best Final Year Research Project for the academic year 2024/2025.

On 2nd October 2025, the Department of Electrical Engineering organized the annual Cricket Fiesta, bringing together students and staff for a day of friendly competition and camaraderie.
The event, held at the University Grounds, featured teams from all four student batches alongside a staff team, all participating with tremendous energy and enthusiasm. After a series of exciting matches, the 2022 batch team emerged as the champions of the tournament.
The IEEE Power & Energy Society Sri Lanka Chapter, in collaboration with EESoc and the IEEE PES UoM Student Chapter, successfully hosted the workshop 鈥淭ransforming the Power Sector with AI鈥 at the 成人头条 on 11th October 2025.
The program began with an insightful session by Dr. V. Logeeshan on the growing need for AI in power systems, followed by a hands-on workshop conducted by Eng. Vidura Bandara, focusing on practical AI applications.
