Department of Electrical Engineering inaugurated the new 2019/20 intake of three postgraduate taught courses, MSc/PG Dip in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installations and Industrial Automation on Friday, 29th November 2019 at 2pm at the Electrical Engineering seminar room. Emeritus Professor Samarajeewa Karunaratne attended the inaugural ceremony as the key note speaker.

Dr. Jayatunga attended the 9th IEEE ISGT conference which was held from 29th September to 3rd October 2019 at the University of POLITECHNICA, Bucharest, Romania with her joint PhD candidate Dilhani Chathurangi, to present the paper titled 鈥淓valuation of Maximum Solar PV Penetration: Deterministic Approach for Overvoltage Curtailments鈥.

A research paper titled 鈥淎n Exploratory Study on Proxemics Preferences of Humans in Accordance with Attributes of Service Robots 鈥欌 was presented at the 28th IEEE International Conference on Robot and Human Interactive Communication (RO-MAN) held from Oct 14 - 18 in New Delhi, India by Mrs. S. M. B. P. Samarakoon, who was a research assistant at the Center of Advanced Robotics, 成人头条. Currently, she is a Ph.D. student at SUTD, Singapore.
